Earth & Ether is the beginning of a collection close to my heart: ceremonial objects created in collaboration with artists whose hands, imagination, and craft bring a vision into being in ways I could never have dreamed up alone.
The first piece is a handmade ceramic cacao vessel, created in collaboration with Toronto-based ceramic artist Amanda Loparco of Halfpint Ceramics. When I discovered Amanda's work, it was love at first sight. I knew she was the artist I wanted to bring this vision to life with.
Rooted in the warmth of cacao-coloured clay and finished with a dreamy wash of cloud white and baby blue, each vessel brings together the earthly and the ethereal. A spiral rests within, inviting you inward with every sip, while the SashaMama mark is stamped into the base.
Made to be held in both hands, these vessels are an invitation to bring a little more intention to the everyday. To make room for ritual. To gather around what nourishes us. To honour the hands that shape the things we hold.
This collection is also an expression of something I've long envisioned: creating opportunities for artists to bring their own magic into the world through meaningful collaborations, with their work seen, held, and celebrated.
